I've been on the pump for six years and have used the Cleo 90 infusion sets from the day they came out. I've had a problem with them leaking for the past few months, so I'm trying out other sets. My doctor gave me one of these to try and I didn't feel a thing (like usual)! I wanted to double check that I was going to put it in properly and frantically searched for instructions on how to use it. This showed up and did the trick! Thanks for the help! :)

***I wear a paradigm pump and cut a small hole in the top, inside of both pockets of all the pants I wear. I make it big enough so the round part of the infusion set can fit through. So, I put the pump in my pocket and pull the round tubing part through the hole and attach it to my stomach. The extra just sits in my pocket or hangs inside of my pants. No one ever sees the pump or the tubing. And, no one has ever commented on the holes.***

Awesome vid! Another type 1 diabetic here! I have the same infusion set as you but I use the Animas 2020 pump. I was just curious about the sticky thingy that you put on your stomach before you put the set on. I get those with my supplies but never use them. When I was trained to use the pump I was never told to use that. Is it just an alternate version of the Iv Prep and how well does it hold up to water if the set isn't against your skin? It doesn't bug the needle going through the extraness?

some people may have a harder time than others in getting their doctors to let them get a pump. i say.. if you want a pump, and you beleive that you are ready for a pump, and your doctor is opposed to the idea or keeps brushing you off on it.. fire your doctor and get yourself a new doctor that will be happy to help you get one! not all doctors are highly competent about insulin pumps!!! certainly, some doctors are downright intimidated by the technology!
see my personal message to you.

I am a type 1 diabetic considering the pump. This video was extremely helpful in helping me understand how the pump is connected. It looks pretty easy. Thanks.

i recommend for you to get into contact with the pump representatives in your area and ask them to let you do a test drive "DEMO".. of their pumps! call the pump companies and tell them to have the rep also call you!..also ask them for the phone number of a local rep for confirmation and call the rep yourself!..otherwise if you just wait for THEM to call you they might take a few weeks.. or months.. etc..... you don't wanna wait that long!! once u want a pump, u gonna want it yesterday! haha!
