Trust God

"Trust God" is the first song I ever wrote. It was about time for my graduation from high school, and I felt as if most people already knew exactly what they were going to do, and where they were headed for college and such. I definitely did not fit in that category! I was facing the big question ... "What does God want you to do with the rest of your life?" I felt as if I was already a failure. At the time I was playing piano, singing in church, and working. Yet it seemed that I was headed nowhere. Then one night as I lay in bed literally sobbing, worrying so much about my future, and not wanting to be a failure as a Christian or a human being that God spoke to my heart in that still small voice. He brought to mind that passage in Proverbs 3:5 & 6 it reads... "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (emphasis added)

Wow! I had never experienced that kind of direction and leading. It was amazing, and as strange as this might sound I started singing to myself right in my bed. I then went to my piano at about mid-night and in literally 20 minutes this song was penned. God uses people in all sorts of ways, and I had no idea that this would be the first of many songs. I wrote this because of a situation that I was going through, but to hear of how it has touched so many people in all different circumstances is an absolute dream come true! If you are going through a difficult time I pray that when you listen to this song it will be an encouragement, and you will learn that no matter the situation, no matter how big the problem seems ... all you have to do is �Trust God�!
