My mom found him as a baby in her shed, we tried to give him back to the mother but it didn't work because she accidentally disturbed the nest too much.
I got so attached to him taking care of him as a baby I kept him.
But you should know chipmunks aren't really legal as pets in a lot of states... and they require more love and care than most pets! :)
