(August 7, 2009) North Korea wanted star power and they found it in Bill Clinton. He secured the release of the two hostages, but the news focused on his meeting with the elusive Kim Jong Il. Was it a PR coup for Kim, or a thawing of the ice between the U.S. and the D.P.R.K.?

I'm glad they're back home! I think it will be awhile before anymore journalists make the same mistake and get locked up in a hostile country - they had plenty FAIR warning of the consequences. The picture of Mr. Clinton & Mr. Il is hilarious to me it looks 'photoshopped" and fake because of the two contrasting expressions on their faces. Kim looks ecstatic! Im glad Clinton can still use his clout to do good in the world; I heard that this "PR event" was set up by Al Gore & not Hillary Clinton.

I do believe that Bill was being sincere without kissing up to Kim Jong Il. I also like this style of presenting news and letting people come up with their own conclusions. Definitely check out the global pulse channel on youtube.
