The bursting of the housing and credit bubbles has left the United States with a huge debt overhang. Can we grow our way out of debt without setting off inflation? How can households reduce their debt levels without killing off demand? Does the debt pose a threat to the dollar? http://www.newamerica.net/events/2009/schwartz_economic_symposium
And that is NOT SAYING MUCH is it? IMHO, it is relative to the videos seen by similar think tanks, institutes or organization, NOT at all similary to some moron with a camera phone raising it above the crowd. waving it around at a rock concert. My point is simply this. They are trying to get a message out and if they expect that message to be taken seriously, they need to be a little careful HOW that message is produced.

On contrary, I believe that the quality of this video is superb. I especially liked the fact that the cameraperson 'zoomed out' when the speaker was discussing a particular slide, so that the viewer could actually read the slide that was being discussed.
Well done NAF, keep up the good work!

I think these discussions by the NewAmerica Foundation are important, useful and focused. However, IF they are of value, then it is important to improve the production quality. The audio is substandard as is the video. This does not mean that you need to use a production company to provide these, but it does mean that you should pay attention to a few details such as monitor and adjust the audio quality and provide adequate lighting on the subject. Inexpensive but important details.
