How come these cameras just lock up and turn off when set to 60 fps? or mine does anyway

In the menu settings on the X170 you have the options of adjusting the exposure settings so this video could look even better if the exposure was raised.
On the flip side, if you're out skiing on a sunny day then you can drop the exposure to soften the effects of the sunshine.
Glad you all like the video quality!

I'm glad you like it.
No, there was no processing involved.
IIRC, I just uploaded the file as it came from the camera.

Holy crap that's some hc filtering! How've you got it mounted?

Hehe! That's how it has to be done in London. I'm better at it now and I'm on a Thundercat (YZF600).
It's mounted on the right 'cheek' of my Arai. The velcro pad that Drift include in the box is very strong.
Nice first video BTW ;)

About your night video test of Drift X170
From my point of view, I see the video too dark. I have set my graphics card with more gamma/brigthness but still i see it dark.
I am very interesting in this camera for record from my car. I've seen more video test and with the sun low, i see too dark the shadows .
Will you do more night tests?
Thanks

Thanks for commenting.
I'm afraid I no longer have the camera so I won't be doing any more videos with it.
The exposure adjustments recommended by ActionCameras below will improve things when filming, but once the movie has been created, there is little you can do to improve the visibility of it, especially as it appears on YouTube I'm afraid.
Cheers!

Thanks! Yours is the first vid of the x170 in low light conditions! It looks like it works really well! You didn't have to process the vid to make it brighter did you?
