The saga of The Visitors began with two very popular miniseries in May 1983 and May 1984, (V and V: The Final Battle), in which the aliens arrive on Earth with an offer to assist humans in solving their problems. As the series opens, a captured Visitor leader named Diana, faced with trial, escapes and regains control of earth with the assistance of human collaborators, chief among them the industrialist Nathan Bates. Leading the Resistance is TV newsman Mike Donovan, weapons specialist Ham Tyler, and scientist Juliet (Julie) Parrish).

@BinaryReader mmm got a point there i am watching the new ones and it seems there putting a diffrent spin on it am intrested how this bliss works seems some form of mind control or drug control ether way wouldent mind seeing a bunch of war like aliens go crazy due to withdrawl symptons and sadly they have canceld the production of v till next year well hopefully they can get the full first one done before it gets cut eh?

um, the new series has just started, i watched all of the originals back in the 80's and this rehash seems reasonable.....at least so far.

I just hope that they tell a different story. already know how the originals end. retelling that all over again would be a shame. (and a waste of my time).
