most of the time japanese tend to keep the best item for themselves, bit selfish.. even for cars, electronics everything.... that's why some models are different or

has more features than the ones they sell outside their country. the best things they always keep it, unless you go to japan or if you have a friend you can ask them to buy it for you..

where can i buy the S640 in the US? i don't see it on ebay, and does it have english language?

You can buy at Ebay. I guess Japanese manufacture test how they can sell their products in Japan at first. And if they think that they can sell at other countries, they will make it available. It takes time and money to translate Japanese to other language.

@cimmeriantwinkle by the way i THINK the s740 can be switched to english, but i dont know that for a fact. it is really hard to get intel on overseas electronics because people over here either dont know or dont readily give out info, or people just dont speak english so it doesn't help.

@cimmeriantwinkle yeah it's easy to use you don't even realize it is in japanese because the icons are self explanatory. and you just plug the usb port into your computer, and open the walkman (it is WALKMAN K:drive on mine) and then open up your music folders and drop and drag folders of music or just drag the mp3s and drop them into the walkman. the icons all are self explanatory video clip for video, music note for music, a picture of a tree for pictures.... i just wish i got more than 8gigs

@CactusAM r the menus all in japanese, and if so, is it easy to navigate? cus i'm thinking of buying it on ebay as well n scared it'll be hard to use
