An short film adaptation of Shel Silverstein's timeless children's book about a boy and the tree who loved him. Produced by Three Trees Theatre and starring Kevin Mack. See www.thehobosoul.com for more info.
of all the giving tree films, this one is my favorite. it has a great imaginative aspect about it that sets it apart and reminds me of my mind as a child... but, i don't think they captured the mother-son relationship that touched me.
i think people should be less critical. it's such a short, but profound story. a lot of the story lies between the pages... in the blank spaces. it's all about interpretation.
amazing work

The animated tree puppet adds a lot to the story. She moves like the tree in the book.

it almost feels like the forest is inside...
Why does it look like the boy is going inside when he opens to door?
