Lmao, yes. Not sure why people think this is for real. There is a blooper reel for this scene, they had to shoot it many times before Gervais stopped laughing. :D

@marshalllucky Given that he was reciting lines from a script written by Gervais & Merchant, in front of a film crew, I think it's safe to assume he knew he was being filmed.

I know its going off at a tangent a bit but I remember in the seventies there was an advert that said `people like polo` . It was of course an effort to promote to popular handy size tube mints of the time. I have to say however that I do not care for them so perhaps their market research appraisal was a little over optimistic ;-)

I wonder if he realised this would actually be aired on TV, It was very crafty of them to keep filming whilst he was taking a break,I dont think his opinions did his career much good as I havent seen him on TV since ?
