  • They blocked civilian traffic and then endangered the progress of a fire engine. Protest is fine until it infringes on others' rights.

  • 1st ammendment says "peaceful", NOT disruptive....if they had stayed in the park, and not go walking down the middle of main st and blocking traffic, all would have been ok. they were endangering themselves, as well as their kids. And then go ahead and resist arrest, of couse the cops are gonna get rough. am not the biggest fan of the rpd and their tactics, but from what little i saw, they weren't in the wrong. i thought the "swearing in public" charge was b.s. as it IS free speech.

  • Hmmm Obviously NOT supposed to be in the road huh? lol Dumbasses!!! Look at the protesters endangering the welfare of those children!!

queer flag at an anti-war protest?? Obviously other motives going on here! Not an "anti-war" protest. Where did the permit say you could protest? Did you even have a permit? I see someone posted about the First Amendment but how do you feel about the 2nd Amendment? lol Looks like you got what you deserved anyway! How much were your fines? Retards!

  • I suggest you folks who approve of the peace demonstrators getting arrested and beat up take a look at the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution. The Founding Fathers believed that freedom of speech was so important they made it the First Amendment. Numerous US Supreme Court, Federal Court and NY Court decisions have consistently ruled that the right of the people to voice their concerns on matters of public importance outweigh motorists rights not to be inconvenienced.

  • Neither energetic, even raucous, protesters who annoy or anger audiences, nor demonstrations that slow traffic or inconvenience pedestrians, justify police stopping or interrupting a public protest. Cox v. Louisiana, 379 U.S. 536 at 546-47, 549 n.12, 85 S. Ct. 453, 13 L. Ed. 2d 471 (1965) (group of protesters who provoked a visceral, angered response and slowed traffic did not jeopardize their speech rights); Edwards v. South Carolina, 372 U.S. 229 at 232, 237, 83 S. Ct. 680 (1963)

  • The police are sick individuals They are mental midgets. They are worrying about their pensions. They are paid off by the big boys. They should be ashamed of themselves.

  • This is disgusting and scary. Thank God for what Judge Napolitano calls the new weapon: video cameras. At least they're all on tape!

  • The Rochester police is involved with a big scandal in one of its suburban towns called "Greece" where 1 police officer raped 2 women and another was involved in a car accident while drunk, then the police chief and investigating officers covered it up and shredded documents.

  • Just try and stick to the fibs that they force on little school children (bill of rights and human rights) and when it comes down to it they will maintain their power by any means necessary which breaks the illusion.

I disagree with arms the cops can call in back up all the way up to nukes. You cant out violence them all that will do is get people hurt.
