the "s" tool or "Z" tool are the best for fords.. except on the old ones you use the "j" tool and push the bottom up from underneath
I find explorers very ez to get right to the vert linkage through the small hole under the handle.

to be honest i have no idea what the slim jim grabed in this video.. could have been the linkage... could have been the paw.. lol.. not really sure but..I do know it worked..lol

this slim-jim is actually a short one.. all the other i have are about 6-8 inches longer.
most have about the same shaped tip. give or take a knoch or two
