Well.....it speaks for itself. Absolutely confusing really. but good fun. its a lift thing that u just step on and off at whatever floor. Me and louisa had fun just going up and down on it, for no reason, of course.
@b440ckw I agree too, they are faster than normal lifts too as they don't stop and they are more fun. I have rode the essex university paternoster yesturday. Hoping to ride this one I do like over riding it ie go in to the dark areas
i had my first paternoster experience today (21/01/2011). on this very lift at leicester uni. wow what a great experience. we need more paternosters!.
@fleming1972 There is a regular lift too so the whole building is wheelchair accessable. I have been at the University of Leicester for 8 years & the only accident I have heard of is when a delivery man tried to get a trolley on it. He damaged a finger as he & the trolley would not fit in the booth (silly man ignored all the warning signs to NOT take deliveries in the paternoster). Thankfully we are not a lawsuit nation: people need to be sensible & try to enjoy themselves from time to time :)

I have rode this all way around at Northwick Park hospital recently, it was a certainly good ride for someone who never rode one before.

Yeah! I want a paternoster in the U.S. too but the fun police would never let that happen. :P

I'd love to ride one, but we'd never have one in the US. Many lawsuits, and people in wheelchairs would complain.

Nothing happens, it just goes back down, I've seen the videos.
