@BUCollegeDems Actually, I recorded it in C and sped it up to Db, just like they did on the original.

this is absolutely brilliant! i'm in the process of recording this song for my A2 music tech recording, & was just wondering what software you used to speed the mixdown up a semi-tone? and also whether you were able to get hold of the original in the key of C? i'm having trouble finding an mp3 so if you know of anywhere to get it, it would be greatly appreciated :)

@hollywollydownton I would think most audio editor programs should be able to do a speed change. Keep in mind, you want the pitch and the "tempo" of the song to change together (like it does in the analog world of records and tape). The free software Audacity has an effect called "Change Speed" that accomplishes this. I think a setting of 5 percent should work. You could even use this on the original recording (-5 percent) to slow it down to the key of C.

This is superb. Love how concerned you're about the every single detail.
It's just really nice to see people who really enjoy music like you.
