  • Lol.

So, Jake Shields signing with the UFC is an indication of White's ability to sign Fedor "if he needs him?"

    Right.

I reckon Vince Mcmahon signing Benoit got you guys real excited for Sting back in 2000.

  • @Kkuusshhh FIrst of all, Shields isn't signed yet, it's just looking like he will in a few months. Secondly, how can one person's opinion all of a sudden account for the entire panel? I totally disagree with Jay's opinion there, as we all know Dana White did everything in his power to sign Fedor last year after Affliction folded to the point of co-negotiation, which he wouldn't do and M-1 demanded, so I'd hardly say Dana White doesn't need or doesn't want Fedor, because he does on both counts

  • TNA dropped the ball and now it's likely too late to make up the ground. Among the reasons on the laundry list: not enough advertising; too much Hogan on the March 8 show; losing identity by going back to 4 sides (though I do like 4 sides better); and not sticking with their guns. Homegrown talent and the X Division should be their showcase. $ drawers like Hardy and RVD are among the few outsiders that should be in the spotlight.

IMO: TNA houseshows are pretty fun

  • The thing about Shields is the UFC's welterweight division, needs someone who can fight the 2 or 3 top guys. GSP has beat the other top guys and 3 top WW's from AKA won't fight each other, so Shields has real value.

He can also fight at MW, 2 top 5 MW's Lawler and Henderson.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable Yeah.

I really didn't explicitly say he was signed. "Signing" as a verb can imply present or progressive tenses. Colloquial, it can even implicate something having taken place in the past.

Regardless, it wasn't really my intention to throw any single member of your panel under the bus but simply to contest the assertion that Jake Shields possibly signing with UFC is of the same merit as signing Fedor.

...of which we are both clearly on the same page.

  • the wwe stacks the deck on raw every year. but smackdown always seems to succeed.

  • if you need blood to enjoy a match. the problem isnt the wrestling it is you.

  • You guys should talk about how the Nielsen ratings are a sham and do not reflect a full audience, but the 35+ audience. Especially with this internet thing taking away younger viewers, and how rating are just a BS bargaining chip for sponsors.

  • One of the things TNA needs is a new production team. The fact that they have been caught filming simple moves like snapmares, and missing choke slams and moonsaults proves that Their production team is ran by a bunch of amateurs, plus they need to get away from the fucking Impact Zone.

  • @DeathAdder83 haha, never :)
