This is the first part of my walk through Jerusalem on 30 December 2007. This walk contains sections of all four quarters, the Armenian, Jewish, Christian and Moslem. We pass the Jaffa Gate, the four synagogues with a view over the Mount of Olives, part of the market (which will reappear several times yet) and a visit to the Holy Sepulchre church which is said to be the site of the crucifiction, annointment and burial of Jesus Christ.

My channel on you tube : http://www.youtube.com/alanheath is one of the most prolific from Poland, although unfortunately not the most visited. With almost one film per day, one may be forgiven for thinking I do nothing else but I do have a day job as well. I have produced more than 400 original films, most in English but also in Polish, French, Italian, Spanish and the occassional hint of German and Hebrew. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects

Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!

There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- http://www.ceepackaging.com - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focussing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!

Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region and the sites http://www.ceepackaging.com/articles/... and http://www.ceepackaging.com/articles/... give a pretty good idea where future films are going to come from! Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

In 1997 I founded Polish Business News http://www.pbn.com.pl .There are a number of business related films here and I intend to do many more on CRM (customer relations management).

My blog can be found via http://www.ceepackaging.com and http://www.pbn.com.pl and contains background information and more details of many of my films. This information is in English.

I have also a second blog on the site http://www.navigeo.net/blog/alan-heath . This site has been recently started by a friend and I think it will soon be one of the leading travel sites in Poland, if not Central Europe. It contains additional information about some of the places and events shown in these films but most of that is in Polish.

  • Are there many barriers to canadian tourists? Just wondering have a nice day!

  • I dont think so! The only place we were not allowed to enter was the mosque!

  • Good videos mate. I'm off to Jerusalem in November and your films are really useful guides.

    Cheers, nice one.

  • Thanks for your comment. I have a lot more films from Israel - and a lot more to post once I get round to it!!

  • I am sooooooooooo tired of Propaganda against the Jews. I went to Israel in June 2008 & was in Jerusalem from June 13-19th, I cannot stand the "Palestinians", filthy, I can't stand the "suffering Catholics" who put up idols in Israel. They tell lies, the Pope comes only to usurp the Temple mount, etc. etc. The Muslims blast prayers from the Minarets 5 times a day.. I would be crazy. The Jewish People take it with great grace and patience. Wonderful visit, wonder at the forbearance of the Jew.

  • @herbertwarmstrong Thanks for your comment! But the gospels clearly mention that it is the Sabbath coming up. It usually took two or three days to die so the person would have been buried on the Monday or Tuesday.

In any case, I do not accept this story as 'gospel'. I will do something on that later.

  • @einetutterauchen Even with the Hebrew calendar, it is two days. Admittedly in lithurgy they say 'he rose on the third day' or words to that effect.

It is rather like my father who would say that I was in my 14th year when in fact I was 12 in order to make me appear older.

  • I'm not a christian by any means, but your caption says "Jesus was killed on Friday and rose from the dead on Sunday, this seems to be less than two days by my count." Jesus was dead for 3 Hebrew days. The Hebrew day begins at sundown and lasts until the next sundown. Which is what the gospels might reflect. for the record, I don't believe in Jesus Christ.

  • Great pictures. The crucifixion of Jesus was on a Wednesday not a Friday, the christian church has misunderstood High days and Sabbaths which are different. See the article, The Cruxifixion was not on Friday by Herbert W. Armstrong. Other Christian advocates suggest a Thursday crucifixion but in any case, it could never happen on a Friday otherwise Scripture would be broken.

  • Thank you. I really liked it.

  • ***** There are your five stars. This was a very informative video. It is amazing how even today, man cannot agree on simple religion things. However, God is not the author of confusion but peace as in all churches of the saints--I Cor14:33

  • This is Awesome! thanks for posting!
