  • @Gawjez101 Sure helped me thanks....

  • @jmtrainaddict1 just imagine the " ' " is an " I " So it would become "Kia Ki Tapa tahi"...i need to underline the imagine tough because it changes the meaning if there was an "I" there. By placing an "I" there it makes it easier to string the word along. it should sound like the word "key" but more emphasis on the "K" and a bit of the "E"..long explanation, hope it helped :D

  • I'm learning this for a school holiday play, I don't know the Kia K'tapa Tahi part of it though. It's annoying me to the hilt cos i can't say it right.

  • I learnt this in 'Maori Action Group" (now kapa haka) in the '60s at East Tamaki Primary, Mrs Brett was our teacher. Still a (Pakeha) family favourite.

  • We used to sing this in my school's choir.... Good times, man.

  • KIa ora ra mo tenei. He tino ataahua tenei waiata me nga pikitia katoa hoki. Kia ora x
