My friend Fanny, from South of France, is visiting me in California. Of course, I asked her to share with us her favorite recipe, which is Ice Cream cake! One layer of vanilla ice cream, one layer of meringue, one layer of raspberry sorbet, and the whole thing covered with fresh whipped cream, pistachios, and raspberries! This cake is going to be a total winner in your Holidays table!

  • Alia, can you please tell me what meringue is called in arabic? Also, is it available here in Saudi Arabia? Because as far as I know, I haven't seen it anywhere here yet!! Nevertheless, can you suggest me something else as it's substitute?

  • @aevinray meringues are french cookies that you can find in supermarket and bakeries. If you dont find them do not worry, just use the cookies of your choice.

  • @cookingwithalia But I am already gona use other cookies @ the place of waffles, how about the meringue? The crushed thingy? Can't I use something, something else?

  • @aevinray there is not really a replacement of meringues. you can make them yourself, but dont worry about it, just replace them with cookies.
