wow u got some rich black dirt...and in my book u cant have too many cucumbers...yum!!

shoot those fat green tomatoes id pluck 'em and put them in the window sill, & freeze them beans or can them, lol but i guess that was last yr so my advice is a little late anyhow, haha

Oh don't worry were old hands, to survive here you have to think ahead. We didn't have the nicety when we were growing up grizzly on the way to toilet! We still are eating beans from 2006. Tomatoes rarely vine ripen here but go into basement to slowly ripen, a lot get turned to spaghetti sauce.

Thanks for dropping by, be sure & look at my playlists. I have a diary for this season. We got heavy frost Sept.1 & neary lost the tomatoes, cukes & zuccini as we thought to squeak by.

I get a lot of views at my Racing Pigeons but few in my garden, a bit dissapointing as gardening is a big part of what we are about. I have a diary from spring until now including mushroom planting. mmm that looks delicious. vegetable gardens are one of the few things that stir up my emotions.
