In the third episode of the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, there is this piece (which hasn't any name yet). I loved it so here is a transcription:

  • BTW, the ending on the official OST has quite a beautiful arpeggio connected to it. I really wish it was transcribed. :( I am going to try to do my own transcription and fix the abrupt ending.

  • I will take a look and keep you informed. Thanks :)

  • Now, loop it 8 times :)

  • <3 it!! awesome!

  • I posted some info below for you. =) It's just a simple arpeggio that follows a repeated pattern every 6 notes starting on an 8va E#. AKA: E#, C#, G#, E#, C#, G#, C#, G#, E#, C#, G#, E#, G#, E#, G# and then it probably ends on a C# chord in the bass clef with a softened C# in the treble clef played 8vb. Sorry I suck at music theory and don't know the proper name for the arpeggio or chords...doubt I could find the proper terms either considering a 6 sharp key signature isn't practical.

  • You said *he* ended it abruptly but he was just playing it as it was written. lol Don't put blame on the pianist.

Anyways, I did some fiddling around. The transcription is written in a key signature with 6 sharps (lol). Just use a simple repeated arpeggio: 8va[E#, C#, G#]. The OST starts on the E# two octaves higher, descends 6 notes, repeats the 5th note of the last measure, and continues to repeat that pattern for the arpeggio down in that progression ending on a chord.

  • Yes & I feel that rest doesn't feel right, is there a problem?

You even said you're gonna fix the abrupt ending.

  • Please look at the transcription (assuming you can even read music). See that eighth note note followed by the whole rest? Yeah that one? あほう

  • XD AHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Thanks for the titles!
