I am a 70 year old swede living in Sweden. I think it was in 1984 my ex-wife and I spent a nice week in Lisboa. We also visited Estoril and Setubal and a "tourada". One evening we went to one of the many fado restaurants in the city, as i love fado songs since I listened to Amalia Rodrigues many years ago. I'll never forget that night, the mood and the chills in my spine the emotional songs gave me. I want to go back again to Lisboa together with my present wife.

I had the pleasure of knowing Amalia when I was very young; she was a friend of my Mom and Dad; they would go to see her when she would perform here in Massachusetts and then bring her back to our home to spend most of the evening, then my Dad would bring her back to her hotel; I am now 45 years old and though both parents are gone as well as her, I still love to hear that voice of hers, it's quite unique and in my opinion, will NEVER be duplicated again; thanks for the posting.
