Recent college grad, heading off to med school soon. Gonna have an even GREATER debt now.
College was basically paying 50K a year for people to read books to you in class.

@JUDALATION Just because you've got an education doesn't give you a higher sallary. And just because you haven't got an education doesn't make you a criminal. America got to be the world power because you could do hard work (invent stuff that ppl want) without having to pay most of your earnings in taxes. And no, you dont have to pay for welfare, its just politicians who wants to be re-elected that does that.

Some of his views on the market I prescribe to, but some his stances seem a bit too staunchly Libertarian. He argues that government subsidies on college education create more degrees and drive demand down among College graduates. Not really accurate.. First of all, in most cases employers are not looking for masters, phD etc. These are usually niche jobs. Employers are looking for SKILLS. A college degree doesn't guarantee that you have skills, it's merely a stepping stone.

I agree 100% per cent with Mr. Schiff on the education scam we are forced to accept. I have a BA degree. And if I had any money (remember that BA degree?) I would be sending some to him!

While Schiff was indeed among those who called the recession, everything he has called since then has been wrong. If you think he is competent, either he is doing you up the butt or you are incapable of coherent thought.

Damn right about dragging your feet through it, Peter. College is worthless. I am learning nothing. Most everything I know about politics and economics (and other subjects) comes from my own research. I am just wasting time and money...but without that stupid piece of paper you get no respect.
