    What is your scale length?

  • Alligood - thanks for the kind words. This is a tenor-to-5-string conversion, so it's relatively short. It's fretless, and I have it set up w/ scale length just shy of 20". More info on this banjo on my website, see banjo #027.

    Are you using standard nylgut strings or the heavier minstrel types to compensate for the lowered tension?
