No, he got the Navy Cross. It is still a very high award, but Marines who cover grenades to save the lives of others deserve the Medal of Honor. Apparently, Secretary of Defense Gates shot it down since doctors believed he won't physically have been able to have done what he did - in spite of witness testimony...
