went on this ship back in 2000 as my first cruise, now 12 years later and many more cruises under my belt i can really see how this ship has changed. I can see that it has been throughly renovated, but they still have the pulldown bunk beds in the cabins, thats a real classic, won't be finding those on any of the newer ships these days

MY WIFE AND I WAS ON THE FASCINATION ON OUR FIRST CRUISE IN JUNE OF 2010 WE LOVED IT HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL WE WENT ON THE INSPIRATION OUT OF TAMPA IN MARCH 2011 LIKED FASCINATION JUST A LITTLE BETTER NEXT WILL BE ON THE DREAM OUT OF PORT CANAVERAL MARCH 2012
Hi, I have a question. (I've never been on a cruise before)
I was wondering if it costs to do the mini golf, the water slides, and eat?
SuperBasketballBoy12 5 days ago
@SuperBasketballBoy12 The food, mini golf and water slides are all included in the cost of the cruise. There are a lot of options for you to eat as well. The pizza place and sandwich shop are open 24 hours and room service is open most of the night (also included in the price of the cruise, although you pay a tip on it). A cruise is a great vacation! We are going on another one real soon and I can't wait!!!

Hello again Greg, after looking at Jacksonville tide charts on the web, the Fascination must wait three hours after high tide to launch as the river lowers. If you get on it within three hours of incoming high tide you wait that time plus the three hours for it to lower. Jacksonville must put the terminal on the ocean side of the Dames Point bridge and fast.

@Ncharlestun That's crazy!! I guess that's the other reason only that small ship runs out of there and not any of the bigger ones. I don't think I'll go back to Jacksonville anyhow. Thanks for the info!!

On the Fascination you depart and return underneath the Jacksonville, FL bridge only when the tide is low.

@Ncharlestun Interesting... I remember going under that bridge but I didn't notice how close we were to the bottom of the bridge.
