I'm sorry for the cliffhanger at the end...:)

Bryan Magee talks to John Searle about the legacy of Ludwig Wittgenstein; ranging from his early work, the Tractatus, to his posthumously published, Philosophical Investigations.

this is such a treat! I adore Wittgenstein for his purity and austerity and bravery but it's sooo hard to understand what he was expressing. This discussion clarifies so much. Thank you mucho mucho for uploading this.

My post isn't substantively empty and I'm not discussing Wittgenstein but this footage, and the way Witge is being addressed -in the typical useless fashion. You were projecting: it is YOUR post that's substantively empty. Nothing indicating some kind of personal processing abilities at all. Also, your last 2 sentences are psychotically weird. See ya.

You *are* aware that you're watching a talkshow of 20 minutes describing LW's thinking for the general public, right? Check the two books and understand why they both turned shit upside down. By the way, you of course came to these thoughts yourself at 8, right? Your post is substantively empty, suggesting...no, wait...

Posthumous publishing means his work was published after his death. He still completed it before his death, the publication just came after.

How can one die between two of one's works?

I don't say that, b/c I didn't say that, here's what I said; "...and the potential result of his having had died between his conflicting works, makes one frustrated."
