  • What's that red lump at 0:57?

  • @Farmerboy986 - The original face from the first Ernest video, made from soft, red (only color I had) modeling clay (non-hardening). It was spray-painted over with grey primer. I tore it up while experimenting.

  • Nice tutorial! Since you said this probably wouldnt be good for small scales, what would you recomend for small scale?

  • @TTTEandbigG - Never tried doing so on small scales before. You might want to check with user Simerski on that.

  • Was just wondering, would this method work if I'm making faces for TOMY/Trackmaster trains?

  • @ryanlim2002 - Unlikely. Sculpy III isn't that workable in small scales.

  • @cudak888 Ahh. Alright. Thanks! Great work!

  • Stunning work Kurt, and very inspirational for some projects I'm working on!

    Keep the vids coming!

  • @cudak888, woah never thought of it like that, i might just have to order some Sculpy III

  • @TheSI3DRemakist - Yes. Get enough Sculpy III to take an impression of the Bachmann face. Remove Bachmann face plate, re-style features to your liking. Harden this Sculpy III mold in the oven. Once it's hardened, pack the impression with Sculpy III, and pull it out. Presto, one face in the style you designed. Harden said face in oven; install on model.
