thought the same thing about the note taker. If you're taking notes on being natural, you never will be.
It's like Carlin's line about self help books: Why would you read a book written by someone else (for self help)? That's not self help. That's help! If you did it yourself, you didn't need any help! You did it yourself! Please try to pay attention to language we've all agreed on!

@challend These interviews are, according to James Lipton, around five hours long and are trimmed down to an hour for the TV broadcast, so there's a good chance this might have been cut. I agree with you that it seems a bit ridiculous to be taking notes, but not because she'll be able to catch it on TV later. Plus we don't know why she's taking notes. Maybe she's writing a paper on DeNiro and needs quotes, or maybe she's a film student who just got a good idea for a plot or something. Who knows?
