Shot over a three day, two night period. Not stop motion. Regular motion sped up. This makes for less jittery footage. Shot in High Definition.

  • Very nice, what camera did you use, also how long aperiod of time was the video shot? Thanks.

  • The footage was shot with a Sony FX1 High Definition Camera. The time varied. I shot for as long as 30 minutes at a time and for as short as 5 minutes. It depended mainly on what the clouds and smoke were doing. Sometimes, the haze would overwhelm the skies and nothing could be seen. Other times, while I was shooting one thing for the long haul, I'd see a Pyro-Cumulus cloud forming at the top and switch over to tape that. Thanks for the kind words. I'll be posting an alternate version shortly.

  • Amazing depiction of Life/Death.

  • Wow. That's a powerful piece you've created, Paul. I never associated "beauty" with firestorms, but you found it, and presented it powerfully. Thanks!
