@Xerdocreisson Maybe, but having lived in America i know what i'm talking about, and why not everyone is an illiterate that doesn't know what good music is, there is a huge chunk of the population that are like that.
And specifically talking about QUEEN, Queen it's not very popular in America, people don't know much more than 3 or 4 famous songs.
-
@Kamyu03 Oh. Well, I do agree that Queen has a much richer sound than the Beatles. But you're kind of generalizing with americans there, don't you think?
-
@Xerdocreisson I wasn't talking about them, i was talking about all the americans that post nonsense on youtube. And believe that because they know The Beatles they have a great taste like if it were the best band ever or classical or jazz. Ignorance, ignorance everywhere in america.
-
@Kamyu03 What are you talking about? Freddy was from Zanzibar and the rest of the band was British.

This is my timetable since i heard this song

Afetr hearing how rthe Beatles sound evolved all the way to perfect clarity and clean clear harmonies ,,the next step following Abbey Road was Bohemian Rhapsody..From "Because" to "BoRhap"..a clean friendly beautiful evolution in sound that seemed to just fall away and de-volve after that in popular music .

Of course, Queen stands on a higher ground than The Beatles, very few acts in popular music can get to be compared with them. David Bowie's musicianchip was way better than MJackson but never as popular, but still better.
Queen had a richer and more complex sound, the highest level of musicianship, and also better instrumentalism, better songwritting, live, etc. American's knowledge and taste of music, well, they aren't european or japanese, they don't have their taste and knowledge .

It must be cause american fans don't have that much knowledge of music certainly, some beatles fans are known for having little connection with reality. Without the Beatles Queen would have existed and' have been still the greatest act in pop music. Without The Who... maybe not.
The Beatles have very little influencing Queen, that must be an American myth, Freddie and Brian like the beatles, but if you hear all of their discography it's pretty clear Bs's influence on Queen is below Zepp/Hendrix.

@MegaMacTV I love both bands. The Beatles are my favorite band, and Queen are my second favorite band, both are fucking amazing. I hate seeing people argue over who's better, because I think once you reach that level it's like arguing apples and oranges. One isn't clearly better the other, they're both really good.
I bet you didn't noticed there isn't 1:07
