They played Duelin Banjos on one episode of the Andy Griffith Show. Can't find it on YT :(

The very best and original Dillards line up. Unfortunately we will never again see them live. Best bluegrass band in their time.

Doug Dillard is amazing. I've seen these guys live several times, and hope to see them again, although Dougy is getting on in years.

The Dillards paved the way for many of the excellent groups from the '60s thru today---- check out Byron Berline and the. Country. Gazette too....

They are all virtuosos, the mandolin player is excellent, but darn, nothing sparkles and rings like silver more than the five-string banjo.

@Crewmannumber6 Indeed they were. LOVE these guys!!!!
-
Ah Love you Charlene!

That's from Beverly Hillbillies, shootfighermike! LOL

@MustaffaCuppa Its' called a live performance, if the artists don't want the people clapping during the performance, they can simply ask them not to do so, like Bobby McFerrin does, like all the time.
If you used to watch the Andy Griffith Show you know the Dillards, the were the the Darlings.
