i know i guy that was said to be dead in the local paper his wife(whom i also know) thought he had died. two days later he went back to his home to a rather shocked wife

the guy who plays this isn't really Maurice Ruddick. Maurice Ruddick was my granfather. My mom is number 13 of 13. I never met him, my sister and borther did though. He was a hero and he will always remain as one.

You can read LAST MAN OUT by Melissa Fay Greene. Her brilliant book is not only moving, but does explore the bizarre and embarrassing publicity stunt a Southern governor pulled to bring the survivors (and tourists) down...as long as they were white.
