1987 Katarina Witt - Exhibition

I felt like I had to include Katarina in my collection, even though she did cost us (the United States) TWO Olympic Gold Medals!! I suppose there is some consolation in the fact that she is the most American of Communists I have ever seen.....never more so than we she pulls out some of these Zeigfield Follies, Broadway showgirl numbers!! (Let's put on a show Judy Garland!!) Oh my gosh....what is that music???? Can it be yet another......HERNANDOS HIDEAWAY!!!! "yippee!!".....This also gives me a chance to complain about the East German double axel technique!!! Apparantly, it seems to be very consistant, but it sure makes for an ugly jump!!!! Use that left arm and JUMP girl!!!

Well, she is only one of the greatest skaters to ever have graced the ice... I can't imagine who you might prefer...
