check out my cover.. i did couple of mistakes , but the point is that i did like the guitar but kept the bass filling ( hitting the upper string between notes)

Yeah, I know. I play 90% of the time now with fingers (see my newest vids for proof).
I started off playing with a pick, but switched a couple months ago.
