  • As far as my name calling I WAS calm until after the millionth time I tried to post a comment to this video and it would NOT go through. I was VERY angry at this site and so my anger showed in the post that DID actually go through. I have a temper but I am VERY informed about Celiac disease. My temper does NOT nulify my knowledge of the disease AT ALL. You are stubborn in WANTING to believe that it is so common. And yes if u TRULY have it and don't do the diet u will DIE.

  • It's not 9 years. It actually takes 11 years for the diagnoses. So did you do you look up the genetics that I gave to you? You know the Real ones being the HLA-DQ2.5? Oh and over in different countries they have almost just one race who have it more often because it is in their race's genetic makeup to have it more. Like say the Irish they have it bad. But the 1 in 100 to 200 is Not even close 4 the U.S.

  • 1 in 133 & 1 in 22 from the NIDDK website. Yep, doctors do diagnose easily in Italy and Australia...not here.

  • People who are unable to debate w/o name calling are usually wrong. The thing is, celiac does not always kill people and the time from syptom development to diagnoses is 9 years. That is a lot of money for the pharmaceutical companies to treat the symptoms instead of finding the cause. I will agree to one % of the US population not the western population.

  • I am aware of the genetic component involved, hla dq 2 and dq 8 dq 8 is actually found in a lot of the indigenous peoples of the americas. It would make sense for them not to be able to digest gluten because it was not part of their diet. DQ 2 is found in european people who did not have gluten as part of their diet either, for example the Irish.

  • Loo up hla-dq2.5 to lesser degree hla-dq8 those are the genetics the real on is the first one.

  • If it was 1 in every 150 there would be alot of dead motherfuckers out there but it isn't so. Doctors DO diagnose easily even for people who do truly have it.

  • Shut the fuck you fucking freak u petty ashole for giving me a thumbs down you don't know jack fucking squat YOUR little statistic is 4 people who are gluen intolerant NOT celiac you stupid stupid asshole DIE!!!!

  • Actually his information is incorrect and based on outdated statistics. In America it is more like 1 in 150, and there is nothing wrong with education and awareness.

  • What? I don't pretend to NOT know what gluten is I just order things I CAN have and if the place doesn't have GF free then I just don't go there. I don't freak out if I think I accidentally ate something gluten either. What is this "no complaining" speach? I just don't go bonkers ape shit about avoiding gluten people take it WAY too far such as avoiding licking an envelope seal damn people are screw balls I HATE most people.
