Yes and no. You have to keep in mind that the original forms of kung fu were not created just for self-defense. They were also created as a form of exercise to keep the body healthy so there are some superfluous movements; however, monkey kung-fu in particular actually has some nasty techniques that attack the groin, eyes, and throat.

well why not cyberfairy007, i mean its hard but its not that hard, its just that people need to have patience with this kind of style, im sure you could master monkey kung-fu all you need to do is try,, at first i had trouble doing the monkeys walk,, but now im pretty good at it
