Yes me too I will never forget it back in the day when I was in Federal Govt Colleage Maiduguri we use to rock this. I have been searching for it for a very long time. I initially thought it was Gwen Guthrie that sang the song, I just decided to google overnight success a lo and behold I have finally got it. Thanks a lot for posting this. It really made my day now I can add it to the oldies collection I am making

Thanks for your nice comment. I never thought about Gwen Guthrie, but this does sound like a Gwen's song or production. What a great osbervant. Thanks again for watchin. Man, the 80's were so smooth and mellow, as well as fun. I don't think music is smooth and mellow anymore. Listen to 80's (Stephanie Mills Putting a Rush, Gwen Guthries stuff, Melisa Morgan, ) Those were the days.

I saw this right after the new year 2000 when MTV's M2 aired every single video they had on file in alphabetical order.
I new she had a solo album but I missed her Tonight show appearance promoting it.
Definitely an Angela Bofill quality to this.

Wow! That must to have been cool to watch them show every video in their file (archive). Man... I wouldn't have gotten any sleep. However many days it took to show them all is how many days I would have been up.
