This is the Group Report of Group 3 (Gabriela) on a comparison of Ecofeminism and Babaylan Feminism in terms of theory, philosophy, methodology, practice, principles/values based on the students' readings on Ecofeminist Philosophy (Karen Warren), Introduction in Ecofeminism (Maria Mies and Vandana Shiva), Ecofeminist Visions (Cathleen McGuire and Colleen McGuire, On Ecofemist Philosophy (Chris Cuomo) and an article found in "Centennial Crossings: Readings on Babaylan Feminism in the Philippines" (edited by Ms. Fe B. Mangahas and Ms. Jenny R. Llaguno) entitled, "Searching for Babaylan in Ciudad Mistica de Dios" authored by Ms. Arche L. Ligo.
The Gabriela Group is composed of Ms. Rodora D. Ambulo, Ms. Mary Fe B. Arquiza, Ms. Bernadette A. Dacanay and Ms. Virginia P. Efondo.
The Women, Ecology and Development Course is an elective under the Master of Arts in Humanities major in Women's Studies co-sponsored by St. Scholastica's College and Assumption College of Davao.
The course was developed and conducted by Ms. Virginia J. Pasalo (Ms. Gie), Chairperson of the Women in Development Foundation (a.k.a. WID Foundation).
