From what I know if her history, Baktash to Rabia was more like Shams to Maulana. She was a sufi poet.

Rabia Balkhi was a the princess of Balkh and a great poet. She fell in love with her Turkic slave (ghulam) and secretly wrote poems of him. When Rabia's brother found out, she had Rabia thrown into the Humam and mutilated her wrist. As she slowly bled to death, she wrote poems on the walls of the humam about her love. When the ghulam found out, he killed Balkhi's brother and committed suicide in the humam.
