Carlingford Leprechaun Hunt

The National Leprechaun Hunt takes place this year on the 25th of March 2012, in Carlingford, Co.Louth, Ireland.

National Leprechaun Hunt of Ireland (March 25th, 2012)
On the 25th March 2012 ,the first day of Summertime, Carlingford Co Louth Ireland will host The National Leprechaun Hunt of Ireland.




The hunting area will be marked out by 4 flagpoles.It is expected that up to 50 Leprechauns could be found each carrying a reward, the value of which is written under his heel.

The hunt will finish at 4.30pm. and "finders" will claim their prize at the Square Carlingford Co Louth Ireland at 5pm.

N.B. Hunters will NOT be allowed to hunt in the area of the Wishing well and Slate Rock as this area is now protected under the European Habitats Directive which allows for the protection of flora,fauna, wild animals, and Little People ( Leprechauns)

All proceeds on the day to go to Our Ladys Children's Hospital Crumlin and Newry Hospice.
