BMW M3 at Daytona - Sept 2005 - SCCA - Race #2

Over a weekend in Sept 2005, I ran my BMW M3 in three SCCA "sprint" races. These are typically pretty short, 30 minutes at the most. This particular race turned out to be REALLY short since they threw the checkered flag in about 5 minutes which was only 2 laps! This was because there had been a lot of full course cautions and race stoppages during the weekend due to wrecks.

I ran in the P1 class for this race and ended up 2nd in class. 2005 was the last year I campaigned my M3 in SCCA, but I won the championship for the third year in a row. You will notice a lot of much higher horsepower cars running on the track with me - these are running in GT1 class.

BTW: the white and yellow Mustang is being run by Black Forest Racing which campaigned a couple Mustangs at the 2007 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
