EfficientGovNow Finalist - Mahoning River Corridor Web site

The EfficientGovNow program, through the Fund for Our Economic Future, aims to accelerate government collaboration and efficiency by providing as much as $300,000 in funding to as many as three collaborative government projects from throughout Northeast Ohio. Through the month of July 2009, the citizens of Northeast Ohio will vote on which of the 9 finalists will receive funding.

This project is a collaboration of the Mahoning River Corridor Mayors Association communities (Lowellville, Struthers, Campbell, Youngstown, Girard, McDonald, Niles, Warren and Newton Falls)

The partnering communities propose to implement an interactive and comprehensive web site featuring in-depth information regarding sites available for economic development in the river corridor. The participating communities would share in providing the matching funds to implement the project and, thereafter, would share the cost of managing the web site, providing an enhanced service and reducing their cost.
