@jmiersmasexy apply a whole lot of pressure and only use dead wood. harder wood for the spindle, softer wood for the base board.

@lhtrf a bit of both really. the base board needs to be a really soft wood, and the knife blade appears to be Scandinavian edge grind (perfect for wood cutting). a third thing that could of contributed to this is him pressing really hard :)
