Mr Scruggs barely got mentioned on the news, so shamefull, considering all the attention that they give to black drug addicted celebrities.

Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, and Earl Scruggs = bluegrass! (not to forget the Dillards known from the Andy Griffith show). RIP Mr Bamjoman!

i went to get his autograph back in 2010 . He Goes "Son you look like your ready to bang your head and not stomp to my music" I says " Well yes but i have heard your music all my life thanks to my dad and grandpa and its a pleasure to see you play and meeting is a big honor"

Earl laughed and he said "Well son im glad you like it and its mighty kind of you to come out and see me and my family" it was big honor was like meeting the pope on how awesome it was!

Let's not forget Doc & Merle Watson too! Earl revolutionized the banjo with his three fingered pickin' style. This is back when musicians actually still played instruments....but it's not all bad news. People in East Tenn. (that I know of) & elsewhere in the Mts. still teach people how to play the fiddle, banjo, guitar, etc..for free!! Out of thek indnes oftheir hearts. Face it America, hillbillies are part of your heritage.

My implication is that the liberal news media is biased.

Annette Fullofjello died this week at 78, barely a mention.

Agreed except it's not just 'black' drug addicted celebrities (sorry but that comes off as rather racist). Craptacular 'celebrities' like Lindsay Lohan get plenty of press-she'll get tons I'm sure if she finally kills herself off with all of the drugs she does.
