  • I have the Ace Of Clubs LP as well. As I recall Ace of Clubs was a budget series. They sold for about half the price of regular LP's. The vinyl ismuch thicker than regular vinyl, almost the consistency of a 78. Thanks for posting/ Arf

  • @RhandirQH - Yes you are quite right on all counts, I think Decca were trying to cash in on the success of Buddy at the time. Having said that I am glad they did because I have always like the songs recorded by Buddy for Decca.

  • This is an alternate take.

  • @1959buddyh - This version was recorded in July 1956, the earlier version was recorded between February and April 1956.

  • Buddy was ahead of his time because it still sounds fresh. I have an Ace of Clubs album with this on, slight echo chamber effect but I love that album. Rock around with Ollie Vee etc. How different he looked without glasses.

  • @beowulf3075 - I still have mine as well. The old vinyls give a more natural sound than that of CDs.

  • WOW, How he looks like Julian Lennon without his glasses, who in turn looks just like his dad John Lennon who was a major Buddy Holly fan. Talk about connections !

  • he looks handsome without his glasses. but he also looks handsome with them.

  • I wanna play geetar like Sonny Curtis.

Those Redneck boys from Lubbock are raw Rockabilly . . .LOVE IT!

  • Funny how this could go with Obama's campaign promises..
