@lookingwoman Thank you. As you know I disagree. I understand the metaphor but in reality, there is no soul, the heart pumps blood, and all that we "feel in our heart" all goes on in the brain chemically.
Don't get me wrong, I don't intend to cheapen the experience, I just want to understand what goes on when we have these overwhelming feelings. I think that being a reductionist ADDS to the wonder of an experience or phenomenon. A deeper understanding is what I seek. I CAN'T 'quiet' my mind. =)

@2eelShmeal One must go inward to seek truth...for all truth lies within...the heart is the first gateway...to seek truth ...your heart must be opened to the inner whisperings of your soul...many can't hear because the have not learned to be still and quiet the mind.
Every soul hungers for knowledge...not of the world but from a higher source that comes from "within"
