While industrialized nations lament enormous losses due to illegal Chinese copies, Marc Hauser plays with this mechanism; he turns the circumstances around. Thus all of a sudden, the Swiss becomes an admiring "copier" of Chinese products.

While China orients itself according to the expensive icons of the Western world in its copies, Marc Hauser consciously takes up the profane: small strips of newspaper from the Chinese press are torn from their original context and worked into art prints. Chinacopy, Made in Switzerland.
