Willow was birthed using the teaching of the Bradley Method for natural childbirth. We chose to have a homebirth after my personal experiance of a painful delivery in a hospital. Birth is an endurance sport, yes it is hard..but it DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PAINFUL!! Fear is what brings the pain. Hospitals although very helpful for specific birth emergencies, are fear based and do not allow for a peaceful birth the way our bodies are designed for. Please learn how your body functions in birth so you are prepared either way you choose to give birth. Education will give you courage...Please no unassisted births; always have a midwife available. Feel free to leave any questions you may have about the differences in homebirth vs hospital.

  • What a beautiful video ... thanks for sharing, I had tears in my eyes.

I did a waterbirth using HypnoBirthing and had an amazing experience too, but have only just realised there are so many similarities with all these different methods. If only more women realised and trusted in their bodies and the birth process.

Congratulations - Willow is gorgeous .. xo

  • @traceydornelles I agree! HypnoBirthing is a great source for learning relaxation techniques. I'm not sure how indept they go into learning the anatomy and practice for every situation that may occur so Moms and Dads will know in advance the procedure choices they have and natural options that most OB's are not aware of. I would Love to take a Hypnobirthing class to experance it 1st hand, I have only read the book and loved the CD's. Thanks for the compliment <3

  • not clamping the umbilical cord can cause the baby to bleed to death .i would not advise stalling this part after birth

  • @mylampisbright your question is very important because not alot of people are told what is happening at this stage of birth. your concern of baby bleed outs stems from when people used to cut the umbilical cord without clamping, thats like cutting an artery (very damaging). to leave the cord intact and undamaged allows the baby to naturally transition from uterine life into ours. early cord clamping has more cons than pros (not in my opinion) in the Medical Findings of every Medical Journal.

  • @mylampisbright I hope more women can learn from this post, and not take my word or their Doctors words..I hope they take the time to research on their own so they will have the confidence to make a birthplan and make the birthing team accountable to follow their plan.

  • I have 3 months old baby. it was my 3rd delivery and it was supposed to be easy one but it was the most painful. The doctor was very cruel to me. She gave me heavy dose medication. The nurse handled me harshly. At the peak of my labour she scared me by saying that baby is not coming out and we are going to do c section. Thanks god i delivered immediatly. But it was worst experiance at hospital.

  • Loved how excited the brother was. A beautiful birth. Thank you for sharing.

  • Beautiful I love how the whole family is involved.

  • Did anyone see that pussy at 1:15?

  • huba244 - Haha. Your funny :P Beautifull vid. Child birth is so amazing.

  • thank you sooo much for sharing your birthing journey with us! I'm so glad I was able to watch your video and I'm excited to share it with others!. I am going to take "bradley method" classes this month. I'm due with my second in April. I plan on birthing at the birthing center/ Skagit Natural Family Medicine not too far from where I live.

  • I love this...even the family pets were present...my fav video

  • @mylampisbright That's only if you cut the cord without it being clamped. If you don't cut the cord then there is no reason to clamp it.

  • BEAUTIFULL BIRTH VIDEO

  • @mylampisbright This is true. I keep seeing this at home births and unassisteds. It can be very, very dangerous for the little person! This is a great video and I hope others learn from it.
