Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope Teaser Trailer (1976)

This is the teaser trailer for Star Wars, before it was known as Episode IV A New Hope. 20th Century Fox told George Lucas they needed something for Christmas, so George had to put a trailer together with unfinished footage. You'll notice no color has been added and no voice overs either. This particular trailer is rare and not the trailer that was included on the latest DVD release.

Interesting thing is that the movie itself was behind schedule. It was still in post-production when this hit theaters in November-December, 1976. SW was originally scheduled for a Christmas 1976 release.

This trailer makes me think of the days that it was called Disney-MGM Studios, not Disney Hollywood Studios. The 90s were good times....

@TheLegoLightning I know, right? Back then I would have thought this movie is a joke. But I don't think "joke" and "Star Wars" should ever be used in the same sentence (except now, of course, lol).
