Although Moon's new life brought many hardships, working for days without sleep, dealing with the sorrow of losing two children tragically, struggling with illiteracy, to name a few, Moon was forever grateful for every hardship she experienced and overcame.

the issue of illiteracy is somehow beautifully covered in The Reader....that woman feels so ashamed to admit that she is illiterate but still she is amazing!
